Podcast Interview: Lainey chats with Dana Kaye about the Power of the Writing Community

If you follow me on my socials, you likely know that community is a topic I feel passionately about. I was honored to be invited to join Dana Kaye on the Your Breakout Book Podcast where we talk about the power of community as a writer.

We explore several different angles on the topic; including chatting about my deep gratitude to my little launch support team, the awesomeness of @womensfictionwriters and @debuts2020 communities, and for writers; the importance of internalizing that there isn’t only a single path to getting your book into readers’ hands. I talk about my own publication choices, and how I’ve been gifted each step of the way with support from the community of writers.

One of the key points I bring up is about telling friends and supporters specifically how they can help you - and don’t be embarrassed to be specific.

But also how do you find early ways to contribute to the community? And why you want yin surround yourself with the right community of readers and authors from the start. I sincerely hope there is something of value in here to any writer - but let me know?
